You will apply learned skills in real life scenarios and expect to gain understanding in why you do the things you do in work and personal situations, as well as changing your thought process.     Individualized employment services include employability preparation activities, employment maintenance supports, personal management skills, job search skills, employment retention skills, and short-term on-the-job supports. Participants are also assisted with challenges that may be preventing their ability to obtain/retain employment. Assessments for funding for short-term courses e.g.: First Aid, CSTS, and employment incidentals such as work-specific clothes or equipment are also available.

     

    The Youth Employment Service program, offered through our Wetaskiwin and Camrose offices, centers on providing out-of-school youth ages 18-25 with individualized career services. These services will assist youth to gain and maintain employment, with the ultimate goal of obtaining necessary skills, credentials and work experience to attach with the workforce. Service length will vary from 1 week to 12 weeks of active service.
